Rose has been recognized for its benefits since it was brought back from Syria in the 13th century. Recommended against tuberculosis until the Renaissance, it was recommended in the 19th century it was used to treat tiredness.  In addition, rose has long been used to treat haemorrhoids, skin diseases and eye disorders.
🌹 Rose is tonic and astringent, revitalizing, regenerating and healing.
🌹 For external use, it is used as enemas against diarrhoea, injections against white discharge and gargle against angina.
🌹 Rose is used for skin care and is one of many remedies often used to treat wounds that fester.
🌹 Rose oil contains an anesthetic substance: distilled rose water is used as eye drops to calm the pain of inflammation.
🌹 Diluted in vegetable oil, rose oil can be applied locally to treat acne and minor burns, wake tired skin and prevent the appearance of wrinkles.
🌹 Emotionally, rose essential oil is very effective against anxiety and stress, overwork, strong emotions and temporary depression. It is then used for diffusion or inhalation.
🌹 As an infusion (10 g of rose petals per litre of boiling water), rose is used as a tonic drink two or three cups a day between meals.
🌹 Rose syrup is very effective against diarrhoea (50 g of rose petals in 2 litres of boiling water to which 1 kg of sugar is added until it has the consistency of a syrup).
🌹 Cold compresses soaked in commercial rose water or made by you (50 g of rose petals per litre of boiling water) soothe inflamed eyelids and make the eyes shine.
🌹 You can use petals and rosebuds in salads and pies. You can also make delicious jams, liqueurs, syrups and sorbets.
